Wineglass Rising

Arriving at Freycinet National Park late in the day with not much light left, I made the call to hike straight up Mount Amos. I risked the steep, 2-hour rated ascent well after 5pm with hopes of summiting in time to still see the sunset (and ideally not attempt the descent in the dark). I was thrilled to reach the top in record time and witness the beauty of Wineglass Bay, with a fiery sunset rising above it! Sometimes you have to be ready for adventure at the very instant of arriving at your destination - no time to settle in and get comfortable when you're visiting places like this :)
