Nurturing Noddy Nest Building
A Black Noddy or White-Capped Noddy Tern takes flight over a coral cay on the Southern Great Barrier Reef with a fresh Pisonia leaf to add to its nest. The same nesting tree creates a sticky trap for the birds to become caught in and fertilise the tree when they die. This keeps the trees healthy, allows more birds to nest and continues the cycle of life!
