Daylight in Hugh Gorge

This was taken in the most remote place I have ever been. After wandering down a section of the Larapinta Trail for 2 days, we put our packs down at a fork in the trail and followed a dry riverbed that marked a side trail on our already ambitious hike. We arrived at the grandest, most uniquely vibrant cliffs I have ever seen. Almost as if it had anticipated our arrival, the sun peered between the cliff faces and drenched the gorge in the most brilliant orange imaginable. Had I brought a camera it would not have even been required- a sight so beautiful can speak for itself through any lens.
