Dune sunrise

Arriving at Namibia’s highest dunes before dawn, we began to climb under torchlight. As the sun began to rise the grey shapes of the landscape began to glow as the landscape started to reveal itself. Within moments we found ourselves dwarfed by the epic sweeping red dunes as purple skies turned to rich blue. Moments later the light changed again as daylight took hold.
