Shotgun not going first
Captain Cook first touched down at Adventure bay, Tasmania in 1777. Coincidently, where a milestone leg of his journey ended, our journey began. A team of 5 of us spent the afternoon paddling to the Monument where we began the painstaking mission of hauling the heavy kayaks up onto the rock shelf, whilst battling 2 meters of surge.The second day was spent doing our best to stay safe amongst the rocks that continued to rain down on us. Pictured here is Carmen Ator, effortlessly walking where no one has been before. Carmen crossed the line in both directions, pulled-off a flawless shoulder stand, soaked up the view in exposure and waltzed off without taking a fall.
